A Safe Rocket Workshop: 7 Questions Parents Ask
No fire and no fuel: how is safety designed in Zekaland’s rocket workshop? Clear answers to the questions parents ask most.

The word rocket stirs two feelings in many parents at once: curiosity and worry. In this article we set out the safety framework for the Zekaland Alanya Rocket Workshop.
1. Is there a rocket with fire or fuel?
No. The workshop uses no rocket with fire or fuel. We work with a controlled system that cannot harm children.
2. What does “harmless” mean?
We do not market any of this as zero risk, because every physical activity needs care. What we mean is that there is no flammable fuel, no open flame and no explosive system. The process runs under the instructor’s control, with materials that suit the age.
3. What does the instructor do?
The expert instructor:
- explains the safety rules clearly at the start,
- stays beside the child during assembly and checks,
- manages the order and the area of the launch,
- and makes room for the child’s questions of “why did it happen like that?”.
4. Isn’t 5 too young?
The workshop is for ages 5 to 17. With younger children the steps are shorter and help is closer. The aim is not an engineering contest. It is safe discovery and confidence.
5. Why 3 hours?
The single session format is designed to complete the cycle of briefing, building, checking and launching in one day. Instead of a weekly course, it offers an intense first experience.
6. What do you ask for when I apply?
Only the parent’s contact details and the child’s age. We do not ask for a name, school, photo or date of birth. No payment is taken in the form.
