A Rocket Workshop for Children in Alanya: Ages 5 to 17, 3 Hours
A first for Alanya: with an expert at their side, children build a safe rocket and live through the launch in 3 hours. There is no rocket with fire or fuel.
Zekaland has opened a single session Rocket Workshop in Alanya. This article is for parents: who can take part, how long it lasts, how safety is ensured and how to enrol.
Who is it for?
- Age: 5 to 17
- Length: about 3 hours
- Format: a single session, not a weekly course
- Place: Şekerhane, Alanya, face to face
With younger children the instructor stays closer, and with older ones the design and observation steps run more independently.
What happens in the workshop?
The process has four steps, roughly:
- Welcome and safety. Rules, materials and what will not be done are explained clearly.
- Design and assembly. The child builds their own safe model.
- Testing and preparation. A checklist before the launch.
- Launch and review. We talk about the result together.

Safety: no rocket with fire or fuel
The workshop uses no rocket with fire or fuel. The aim is to give the excitement through a planned, controlled and child friendly STEM experience, not through a risky show. For a detailed safety note, see our safety article.
Fee and enrolment
The application form is free, and we do not ask for card details. The workshop fee and the places are confirmed in the call, and we do not write an invented price on the site.
